The Partnership

The Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp has partnered with Turbo AI to bring practical AI-powered learning tools directly to students and educators. Through this collaboration, Turbo AI will provide one-month premium subscriptions to 700 students in the 2025 AI Bootcamps, and to between 500 and 1,000 educators participating in the Teacher Fellowship and Teacher Bootcamp programs. This ensures participants have hands-on experience with technology that makes learning more effective and accessible.

Both Turbo AI and the Mark Cuban Foundation are committed to democratizing educational technology. While the Foundation provides free AI education to underserved high school students and professional development for educators, Turbo AI delivers practical tools that convert classroom and learning content into powerful, interactive study materials.

About Turbo AI

Turbo AI is an AI-powered note-taking platform that specifically converts audio, video, or text into editable notes. Users can directly collaborate with Turbo, leaving comments, making edits, and brainstorming through an iterative process. Unlike general-purpose AI tools such as ChatGPT, Turbo specializes in targeted, collaborative document editing and refinement.

Founded a year ago by Rudy Arora and Sarthak Dhawan, Turbo AI has rapidly scaled to over 4 million users and is venture-backed. Turbo transforms traditional notes into dynamic study resources like podcasts, quizzes, and flashcards, serving students and professionals in diverse scenarios such as:

  • Converting lectures into structured notes

  • Studying for exams

  • Writing and refining research papers

  • Journaling and personal documentation

  • Managing professional to-do lists

How Turbo AI Supports the Bootcamp

Turbo AI directly enhances the learning objectives of the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp by providing students and teachers with a tool to actively engage with complex AI concepts. During the intensive 20-hour bootcamp sessions, students can effortlessly capture audio or video lectures and transform them into structured study guides, quizzes, and flashcards. This supports effective learning, revision, and retention of critical topics like AI ethics, machine learning fundamentals, and application development.

Educators participating in the Teacher Fellowship and Teacher Bootcamp gain direct experience with practical AI tools, helping them integrate advanced technology into their classrooms effectively. They can easily process and organize training materials, research papers, and educational resources provided during their sessions, improving their own understanding and preparing them to effectively leverage AI with their students.

Key Contributions

The Turbo AI premium subscription provided through this partnership offers substantial practical benefits:

  • 15 hours of lecture and content processing

  • Unlimited flashcard creation

  • 50 quiz questions

  • 10 PDF uploads

  • 200 AI chat interactions

For many students and educators, this represents their first in-depth interaction with advanced AI technology tailored specifically for learning, moving beyond the basic experiences provided by general-purpose tools. Turbo AI ensures equitable access to technology that can significantly enhance learning outcomes.

Why This Partnership Matters

This collaboration between the Mark Cuban Foundation and Turbo AI sets a powerful example of how educational nonprofits and innovative tech companies can work together to broaden access to essential educational resources. By prioritizing underserved and underrepresented students—including girls, students of color, first-generation college students, and those from low-to-moderate income backgrounds—the partnership helps close the AI literacy gap.

Furthermore, Turbo AI emphasizes responsible AI use by highlighting iterative human-AI collaboration. Unlike traditional generative tools, Turbo AI fosters critical thinking and active engagement, ensuring students and teachers develop a comprehensive understanding of AI’s potential and limitations.

As the Mark Cuban Foundation expands its reach to thousands of students across 29 cities in 2025, this partnership with Turbo AI exemplifies how strategic collaborations can significantly enhance educational impact at scale.
