Founded by Mark Cuban in 2019, the AI bootcamps initiative has hosted free camps to high school students across the United States. By integrating AI across all subjects and industries, we ensure students are not just consumers of technology but innovators and ethical leaders in an AI-driven world.
Through dynamic partnerships, we provide students with real-world experiences, mentorship, and access to cutting-edge tools that evolve with industry trends. Our commitment to equity means we actively support students of color, girls, low-income youth, and first-generation college students—those historically underrepresented in technology and leadership.
Beyond technical skills, we emphasize ethics, transparency, and responsible AI use, ensuring students are prepared to shape a fair and inclusive future. By investing in youth today, we are building a generation that will lead with knowledge, integrity, and confidence in an AI-powered world.
Our programming has expanded to serve high school teachers, primarily targeting those who teach in low income schools. Our teacher programming focuses on thoughtful integration of AI for educators who are beginning to explore AI’s impact on the classroom. We support their growth as leaders who are grounded in practical, ethical AI that makes sense for their classroom and subject area.
The first Mark Cuban AI Bootcamp kicked off with our very first program, proving there was a hunger for hands-on AI education for high school students.
Two years later, we hit 15 bootcamps nationwide. From coast to coast, we doubled down on our mission of helping students to master practical AI tools. Our community grew faster than we ever imagined.
We’re growing to reach more students with a spark of AI through community partnerships. Stay tuned!
Meet Isabelle Nguyen, an inspiring leader and advocate for change! Isabelle is a high school senior who founded and leads two clubs at her school—UNA-USA and Model UN—both focused on advocacy and debate. Outside of school, she dedicates her time to volunteering at the local food bank and creating engaging YouTube videos.
Her journey with MCF began as a student at the 2023 bootcamp. Now an ambassador, Isabelle actively participates in program activities, helping her peers develop essential AI and technology skills. She’s passionate about growing the program, recognizing how AI is shaping industries and the importance of student involvement in driving positive change.
Isabelle believes that being part of the MCF Alumni Network is an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, gain experience through exciting projects like business proposals, and benefit from mentorship, internships, and educational resources.
